Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas
We will view and discuss a video describing the portrayal
of Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas, which consists of 114
sayings attributed to Jesus, presenting Jesus as a sage
and teacher. We will explore the relationship between
Thomas and the gospels of the New Testament, its relationship
to the mystery religion known as gnosticism, and the insights
it can provide to understanding the person of Jesus.
