I am looking for any information on the James Crawford family. I have found on your website some notes about James Crawford being the first ordained Presbyterian minister in Kentucky and a founder of the church.

My wife is Connie Crawford (Stewart) and is a third great granddaughter of Doctor Alexander Crawford of Rockcastle County, Kentucky who lived about the same time as James (she is also related to Doctor Ephraim McDowell of Danville). Alexander may be a brother/son/nephew?. He was born about 1780 and died about 1860. He is buried in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery on the Pulaski County & Rockcastle County line off US 461 between Somerset and Mt. Vernon. He owned property in Rockcastle County.

I have seen that James died in 1803. Do you have the dates of his birth and death (and places?). Sons? Daughters? Is he buried in the church cemetery? Is it close to the church? I would like to visit and photograph his headstone, etc. The limited info that I have is:

James CRAWFORD (AFN:1HVS-S6) Pedigree
Born: (ABT. 1747) Place: Mountain View, Augusta, Va (this would be very likely as early settlers came down the Shenandoah Valley as they moved west)
Christened: 1752 Place: Fork Of James, Orange, Va
Died: 11 Apr 1803 Place: Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky
Buried: 13 Apr 1803 Place: Walnut Hill Cem., Lexington, Fayette, Ky
Married: Place: Unnone
Father: Alexander CRAWFORD (AFN:1HVS-78) Family
Mother: Mary MCPHEETERS (AFN:1HVS-8F) (may have been a cousin of wife's father?)
Wife's Name
Rebecca MCPHEETERS (AFN:BBGF-9S) Pedigree
Born: 1755 Place: Of Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky (seems too early for Lexington)
Died: 18 Aug 1830 Place: Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky
Buried: Place: Walnut Hill Cem., Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky
Married: Place: Unnone
Father: Mr. MCPHEETERS (AFN:10DB-9QQ) Family
Mother: Mrs. MCPHEETERS (AFN:10DB-9RX)

If there is any more detailed pedigree or family lineage or link to such, I would very much appreciate it. If there is church history, it would be very interesting to add to the family collection.

Thank you.
