Gnosis: Mary Magdalene in the Nag Hammadi Library
We will view a video regarding the gospel character, Mary
Magdalene, her journey, teachings, and the legends
surrounding her life, including a discussion by New
Testament scholar Elaine Pagels. Pagels discusses
Mary's association with the "sacred feminine," which was
largely lost in mainstream Christian tradition, a loss that
has often left women alienated from Christianity.
