What is a Religion?
This Sunday's conversation will ask the question, "What is a religion?"
Through a lively video presentation, Dr. Luke Timothy Johnson
reviews some classic definitions of religion and then develops a
working definition of what religion is through expressing what it does,
what is unique about religion, and what must be included and excluded
to distinguish it from other organized expressions of life. The result is
a better awareness of what we do every Sunday morning.

This Sunday (June 12) and next Sunday (June 19) we continue
receiving donations for Church World Service "School Kits".
Each kit contains:
-one pair of blunt metal scissors (rounded tip)
-three 70-count spiral notebooks
-one 30cm ruler (12")
-one hand-held pencil sharpener
-one large eraser
-six new pencils with erasers
-one box of 24 crayons
You may donate any/all of the items above or money toward the
purchase of the items.
